GENERAL TENNIS INFORMATION
All classes held at South Whidbey High School tennis courts. What to Bring: Please bring a tennis racquet, water bottle and wear appropriate tennis shoes. Loaner racquets available. Student/instructor ratio indicated in brackets. Inclement Weather: Make-up days will be arranged by individual instructors. Call 221-5484 after 8:00am if uncertain about the meeting of a class. INSTRUCTORS: Teresa Wheeler returns as our summer director of tennis. She has been teaching tennis to South Whidbey children and adults since the summer of 1990. Tennis 101Tennis 201 This class is for advanced beginner-intermediate players who have a basic understanding of technique and strategy and who can sustain a rally of a few shots. Stroke technique, drilling, strategy and match play will be covered. (8:1) Date: Tue/Thu July 1-17;

Team Tennis League (Adults & youth 15+) This league will consist of teams of six players assigned by tennis staff. Weekly matches will be played against another team. Each player will play a no-ad singles match consisting of 11 games. Then each team member will play a no-add doubles match consisting of 11 games. Total games won and lost are totaled as a team. There is an end of season party with a pot luck and prizes awarded to the winning team. Each player must fill out a player self-evaluation form. Alternative: pay $10 to be on sub list.
