Independent Contractor Opportunities

UMPIRES: COED SOFTBALL

Pay: $35 per game (typically 2 short games each evening). All umpire fees are paid at the end of the season.
SWPRD is seeking umpires for our Adult Coed Softball League. ~100 players turn out each summer for this fun, community-oriented league. Umpires needn’t commit to all dates, but will indicate their availability on application. Umpires will be contractors, not employees of SWPRD. Please contact 360-221-6788 for questions.

Recreation Program Leaders

Pay: Typically a revenue split of 80% to program leader/20% to SWPRD

We’re looking for instructors and program leaders who can offer fun and enriching programs to our community! Do you have experience teaching art, fitness, movement, dance, or sports? Do you have a great idea, hobby or something new to add to our list of programs? Contract instructors are not employees of SWPRD, they are independent contractors.

  • Winter Program Proposals due: November 1 (For programs in January – April)
  • Summer Program Proposals due: March 14 (For programs in May – August)
  • Fall Program Proposals due: July 15 (For programs in September – December)
