The Body in the Landscape
(Adults 18+ with the ability to hike 2-3 miles)
With movement we will engage with three different landscapes of Whidbey Island. Utilizing Japanese Forest Bathing (Shinrinyoku), poetry and prose (Annie Dillard, Robert Macfarlane, Raymond Carver, Elizabeth Austen, Sherman Alexie), and writing techniques, you will learn how to enhance your time in nature, heal your stressed mind and body, and connect with nature’s medicine.
Wear comfortable, warm clothing you can move and hike in. Please bring a journal, your favorite writing utensil, a small tea cup, and a light snack to have with tea, and water. Green tea will be served.
Session includes all three classes.
