Join us at Goss Lake for an exciting morning of canoeing! Learn water and canoe safety and canoeing techniques. At-your-own-risk, no lifeguards present.  Children MUST be accompanied by an adult.

GPS 201

Join an REI expert for this how-to, hands-on class that literally walks you through the basics and advanced functions of your GPS.  Beginners are welcome, though an understanding of the basic functions of your GPS unit is recommended.  GPS units will be available upon request if need be, just notify us at time of registration.  You can buy a $20 REI lifetime membership over the phone or online to receive the member rate.

Model Rockets
Have you ever dreamed of traveling to the stars? Well, this is your opportunity to take one step closer to that dream. Participants will design, build and launch an electric ignition rocket with recovery parachute and then be able to take it home. ($5.00 supply fee must be paid to instructor on first day of class.)

Youth Wilderness Backpacking Camp

Amaze yourself!  Come enjoy the beautiful Mount Baker wilderness, visit the historic Park Butte Fire Lookout and safely check out Easton Glacier, with our all new backpacking camp!  You will gain knowledge and experience in equipment selection, travel techniques and safety practices used in the outdoors.  You will experience the beauty and wonder of the Northwest while building self confidence, learning teamwork and using problem-solving skills.  Camp fee includes basic outdoor backpacking equipment, breakfasts and dinners (we'll help you plan your lunches).  Some gear and apparel are available on an as needed basis.  Participants must attend the planning meeting on July 7 @ 7pm at Community Park.  Maximum 14.  Thanks to REI for providing gear and equipment!
