Youth Snowrider - General Information

Season - Saturdays, January 7th - February 25th, 2012

Bus Schedule - First bus trip is Saturday, January 7th. Bus departs from Coupeville at Hwy 525 & Wanamaker Rd/Hwy 20 at 5:20am and departs Ken's Korner parking lot in Clinton at 6:10am. Bus will depart mountain at 4:30pm and arrive in Clinton at 6:50pm and Coupeville at 7:40pm. We will provide a Mukilteo pickup if there is interest.

Registration - The cost of the Snowrider program is $436.10 for the bus and lessons for 8 trips or $326.10 for the bus only for 8 trips. Take advantage of the early registration fee! After December 8th, prices will go up $50 (plus tax).

Participation - Participants must be ages 10 - 18 to participate in this program, must be self sufficient and able to care for themselves and carry their equipment to and from the bus. We recommend the younger kids sign up with a friend and 10-12 year olds are required to take lessons. The chaperones are not readily available during the day but can be reached if necessary. Participants are responsible to be ON TIME when the bus leaves the mountain.

Helmets - For safety reasons we highly recommend all participants wear helmets. See www.lidsonkids.org for more information.

Equipment - Each participant must have up-to-date equipment including boots, skis or snowboard, poles, ski brake device or leashes and bindings (which have been specifically adjusted to fit the skier's or boarder's boots). All equipment must be in good working condition and checked by a ski shop tech before program starts. Warm ski gear and goggles are a must! A sponsor of our program, Grass Roots Outdoor (GRO), is a great option for gear, equipment and rentals. They are located in Everett on Everett Mall Way. GRO's phone number is 1-888-423-0717 and their website is www.grosno.com. Plan in advance as equipment is limited!

Lift Tickets - Participants can buy discount lift tickets on the bus. Discount ticket costs are: $55 for ages 16 and up, $45 for ages 13-15 and $35 for ages 7-12. Participants must pay by CHECK made out to STEVENS PASS to receive discount tickets.

Lessons - Clancy's program is 6 weeks of lessons (ending February 11th). We recommend lessons for everyone and we have lessons available for every ability. Clancy's is offering some exciting classes to keep kids challenged and interested in learning. Lessons are mandatory for 10-12 year olds and beginner skiers and snowboarders. Lessons are half-day (two hours) and either 10am - Noon or 1pm - 3pm. If needed, full day lessons are available for an extra charge. The bus departs the mountain at 4:30pm so there is plenty of opportunity for kids to explore the mountain outside of lessons.

Stevens Pass - For more Stevens Pass mountain information, please contact Stevens Pass at 206-812-4510 or www.stevenspass.com.

Refunds - The last day to guarantee a full refund is December 16th. However, if a participant is injured, we do refund the registration fee on a pro-rated basis, contingent upon a physician's recommendation. There will be no make-up lessons or refunds for classes missed by a student. As we cannot control the weather, we cannot guarantee six consecutive weeks. However, we do guarantee to provide services within the normal ski season (Jan - Mar) or we will return any unused portion of the fee. A $30 service fee will be charged for all refunds and credits.

Bus and ski school will only be cancelled if the pass is closed.
