Daddy & Daughter Ball

Dad, this is your opportunity to show your girl how a gentleman treats a lady and celebrate the special relationship between fathers and daughters. There is no age requirement, so young and old are able to dance the night away. Our purpose is to help families provide a quality evening together for dads and their daughters of all ages. This popular event includes refreshments, a flower for each daughter, door prizes and a free picture of each couple, mailed after the event. Be sure to include your mailing address when registering. Space is limited so please get your tickets in advance.

Volunteers Needed! Volunteers are needed to make this event run smoothly! Please call 221-5484 to become a volunteer.

Chum Run

The community of South Whidbey Island invites you to participate in the 16th Annual Chum Run on Sunday, June 3, 2012, at 10am. Folks of all ages are invited to enjoy a 5K run or walk through the lovely clean and clear forest trails of Community Park.  This light-hearted event has become a local favorite and has grown by leaps and bounds.  Proceeds benefit SWPRD and the South Whidbey High School Cross Country team. Younger kids are invited to participate in our “Fry Run”. Individual competitions and team costume contest.  Youth must be accompanied by an adult.  Participants receive a classic and classy Chum Run shirt (shirt available on a first-come, first-served basis). Volunteers are needed to keep this event fun; call 221-5484 to volunteer.  Registration opens at 8AM.
Fee: $25 by June 2nd; $30 day of race for adults. $5 discount for students 18 and under. $5 discount for families of 3+ registrants. No online registration available for students.
