SPECIAL EVENTS
Earth Day 2008 at Trustland Trails
Those interested in helping the Parks District should plan to arrive at the Craw Road access point at 12pm for a kick off lunch provided by the District. At 1pm, we will work on brushing out the access connection to Trustland Trails and cutting in an ADA loop trail until the work concludes at 4pm. This will be the first work party on the newly acquired Trustland Trails access connection entrance road and parking area off of Craw Road. Come prepared for physical labor and fun with friends and neighbors. Please bring gloves, tools, sturdy shoes, eye protection, ear protection, power equipment and bottled water.
Over the years the access connection (formerly the old highway) has been used as an illegal dumping site. Many piles of debris have accumulated and the Parks District staff could use some help in collecting and disposing of debris. In addition, the Parks District could use help removing smaller trees and brushing through the forest to forge an ADA accessible loop.
Individuals, civic and school groups welcome!
